MERKABAH will be performing select shows throughout Ontario and Quebec in 2016 in support of their latest album; dates have yet to be announced.
Five-piece, female-fronted symphonic prog-power metallers from Quebec City, may be Canada’s best kept secret!
‘Ubuquity’ is MERKABAH'S third full-length album, of symphonic power metal, with touches of prog, and folk metal. ‘Ubiquity’ was masterfully produced, with major label sound quality, by the band and Pierre Remillard (Anvil, Kataklysm, Misery Index, Malevolent Creation).
Very memorable songs sung by their attractive front-woman, and heavy power-prog riffs from the rest of the band are what Merkabah are all about !
Merkabah has been a major force on Quebec metal scene since their first album in 2005, and their second release was the Winner for Best Heavy Metal album at the Gala of Quebec Indie Artists’s Awards in 2009.
‘Ubiquity’ shows Merkabah in all their metal glory with magnificent symphonic powerful songs, with an abundance of diversity and melody!
“An epic journey through the most fantastic worlds filled with intense emotions and rich sound textures.”
Merkabah has shared the stage with Gamma Ray, Lacuna Coil, Hammerfall and Unleash the Archers in their native home province.

Spanish Symphonic Power Metal Band Eternal Dream falls into the Operatic Female Vocals category that a lot of Euro bands employ.
The music however is propelled by strong power chords and virtuoso guitar soloing not unlike Rhapsody (of Fire) & Stratovarius and similar bands of their ilk employ.
Ana Moronta's vocals don't overpower the songs like so many "operatic" singers try to do in similar bands.
